The starting point

Silly is an artist and dog trainer who paints individual pet portraits in pastel, oil and acrylic. Until now her pictures lived mainly on social media: beautiful to look at, but without a fixed place where interested people could find all works, techniques, prices and the process at a glance and request a portrait directly.

Our approach

We built a calm, high-quality artist website that puts the pictures centre stage: a gallery of framed works with a large view on tap, an offers section with pastel, oil/acrylic and personalized wooden coasters including technique, format and price, a three-step process and a video with a look into the studio. New Facebook posts appear on the website automatically, and enquiry buttons lead from every offer straight to contact. Clean headings, metadata and fast load times take care of Google. Before and after: what specifically changed.

GALLERY

Works look like they do in the studio

Before: pictures scattered across social media feeds. Now: a gallery of framed portraits that can be viewed large with a tap.

OFFERS

Prices and techniques at a glance

Before: questions about price and technique by message. Now: pastel from €100, oil/acrylic from €200 and wooden coasters for €28 with all details.

PROCESS

Three steps to your portrait

Before: unclear process. Now: send photos, agree details, portrait is created. Including a note on the 50% deposit.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Facebook embedded automatically

Before: website and Facebook separate. Now: new posts appear on the website automatically, without double maintenance.

PERSONALITY

The artist behind the pictures

Before: hardly any information about the person. Now: an about-me section, a quote and a video showing a portrait being created.

MOBILE

Made for the smartphone

Before: prospects mostly came via social media on mobile. Now: gallery, offers and enquiry are just as convenient on the phone.

What other artists and creatives can take away.

01

Put the works centre stage

A calm design with plenty of white space lets the pictures speak. Colours and fonts pick up the style of the art instead of competing with it.

02

Show prices openly

Starting prices, technique and format answer the most common questions in advance. As a result, enquiries come from people who really want a portrait.

03

Explain the process

Three clear steps remove the uncertainty before a custom commission. Everyone knows which photos are needed and what happens next.

04

Connect social media

If you post a lot on Facebook or Instagram, you should show that content on your website automatically. That keeps it up to date without extra effort.

05

Show the person

With art, you also buy the artist. An about-me section, a quote and glimpses into the studio create closeness and trust.

06

Enquire from anywhere

Every offer has its own enquiry button. Anyone who has fallen in love doesn't have to search for the contact page first.

Frequently asked questions

Is a dedicated website worthwhile if you are active on social media?

Yes. Social media brings reach, but the website is the permanent place for gallery, prices, process and enquiries. It belongs to you, is found on Google and can be connected with your social media channels.

How are Facebook posts displayed on the website?

An extension automatically fetches new posts from the Facebook page and displays them in the website's design. The artist posts as usual and the website stays up to date without extra maintenance.

Should artists state their prices on the website?

Starting prices with technique and format pre-filter enquiries and save many follow-up questions. The exact price still depends on style, size and subject and is set in the personal quote. We show how we prepare websites for search engines and AI search under GEO / AI Search.
